Home / COVID-19 Protocols

Greetings!

We hope this finds you and your family in good health. It has been a great privilege for us these past 20 years to offer our services to the community, and we look forward to continuing to offer the same high-quality care that our clients have come to expect. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety and health.

By its very nature, massage and bodywork requires skin-to-skin contact and you should be familiar with the fact that infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. After much research and study regarding how Nature of Massage can still offer the highest quality of care and safety to our clients and staff during this pandemic.

We understand that the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic are ever- changing, and we will continually monitor the situation and adapt procedures in the best possible way.

Social distancing, the wearing of face-masks, & diligent disinfecting protocols remain in place even if clients are fully-vaccinated.

Please contact us to reschedule your appointment if any of the following statements are true within 14 days of your appointment:

1. You have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath);
2. You have had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or someone exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms.

Appointment Scheduling

  • The quickest way to make an appointment, is by visiting our website to use our online scheduler and payment portal.
  • Feel free to call or email us.  We will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
  • Payment is required at time of booking.
  • If you feel ill on the day of your session, please contact us to reschedule. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.
  • If your scheduled therapist is feeling ill on the day of your session, we will first try to find a substitute therapist or contact you to reschedule.

Arriving for Your Appointment

• Plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.

• Bring an appropriate face mask (with at least 2 layers of fabric that covers the nose and mouth without large gaps, adjustable ears loops that fit the mask properly to your face) to wear while you are in the building and during your massage.

• When you arrive at the office, we ask that you wait in your vehicle and call the office to let us know you have arrived. This ensures that we don’t have too many people in the reception area at one time. If we don’t immediately pick up the phone or if the line is busy, try to call a few more times.

Face masks must be worn in the building at all times. Please understand that we cannot provide service if you do not have a face mask.

• You will be asked to use the provided hand sanitizer when you enter the office. You will also find hand sanitizer in other places in the office for you to use as needed.

• If necessary, you and your therapist will sit safely apart in the living room to discuss the session plan.

• Common areas and the restroom are sanitized/disinfected according to FSMTB/CDC/OSHA guidelines between each client and at the end of each day.

• Common areas are equipped with high-grade air filtration machines.

The Massage Session

• Session rooms are sanitized/disinfected according to FSMTB/CDC/OSHA guidelines between each client and at the end of each day.

• Session rooms are equipped with high-grade air filtration machines.

• Linens are sanitized/disinfected in-house according to FSMTB/CDC/OSHA guidelines, and the laundry room is equipped with a high-grade air filtration machine.

• Your therapist will wear a newly sanitized/disinfected apron and face mask,  for each session.

• Place your clothing in the designated area and place yourself face-down on the massage table, covering your body with the supplied cover.

• You may remove your face mask when face down (but keep it under your chin) and will be lying into a face cradle “tunnel”. This will help to contain aerosol particles and allow for more comfortable breathing.

• Replace your mask when face up during the session. If you feel the need to cough or sneeze, place you hand over your mask or your masked face in the crease of your elbow to do so.

• Please limit conversations as they relate to the massage session.

• After your session, please sanitize your hands with either the provided hand sanitizer or by washing your hands according to CDC guidelines.  Hand lotion is also available for use.

Thank you for your continued support!
